About Wexi Est. 2024 · Toronto, Canada

Calmer weight care
for people who want real clinical review.

Wexi is a Canadian telehealth weight-care platform built around clinician-reviewed GLP-1 care. The waiting room is a phone. The clinician is real. When medication is prescribed, it is dispensed by licensed Canadian pharmacy partners and shipped discreetly.

Why Wexi exists

We're weight care, quietly rebuilt.

Wexi started with a small, awkward observation. A friend had been putting off a prescription refill for two years — not because she didn't want the medication, but because she didn't want the counter conversation that came with it. Her GP was on a six-month waitlist. Her local pharmacy was a place she ran into people. The whole loop just stopped.

So we started building the weight-care experience she would have used. A licensed Canadian clinician, reachable by message. Health Canada–approved medications when appropriate, dispensed by licensed pharmacy partners. Plain unmarked delivery. And the patience to adjust a prescription plan with someone, week by week.

That's still the entire pitch. We are not a wellness brand. We don't sell supplements. We don't promise transformation. We just made it less expensive — financially and emotionally — to start care, stay on it, and stop when the time is right.

Half of healthcare is just making it easy enough to start. The medications have existed for decades. The waiting room was the problem.

What we believe

Four quiet principles we keep.

Most pharmacy startups optimize for scale. We tried that for a quarter and didn't like ourselves. These four rules cost us efficiency in places, and we kept them anyway.

i

The clinician is a person, not a chatbot.

Every prescription written on Wexi is reviewed and signed by a licensed Canadian physician. Triage and intake summaries lean on software; clinical judgment never does.

ii

Adjustments are included, not extra.

Dose tweaks, side-effect questions, switching medications, pausing for a holiday — none of it costs more, and none of it requires a new appointment. The plan is alive.

iii

The exit is as carefully designed as the start.

Tapering, switching, pausing or quitting Wexi entirely is a flow we built on purpose. If a medication is no longer right, we want it to be easy to come off — not easy to keep paying for.

iv

The box tells nobody anything.

Plain courier mailer. No outer branding. No contents on the label. Discretion is a feature, not a euphemism — we designed the supply chain around it from day one.

The small group running the back office.

Wexi's public clinical team is intentionally small right now. These are the clinicians patients see on the weight-care experience, with dispensing handled by licensed Canadian pharmacy partners.

Dispensing standards

Licensed pharmacy partners, real standards.

Wexi coordinates clinician-reviewed weight care online. When a prescription is approved, dispensing is handled by licensed Canadian pharmacy partners and registered pharmacists before it leaves the pharmacy.

We don't support grey-market sourcing. Medications are sourced and dispensed through regulated Canadian channels, with cold-chain shipping where required.

  • Health Canada–approvedEvery active ingredient is licensed for use in Canada — no exceptions, no “international” sourcing.
  • Cold chain, where it mattersTemperature-controlled shipping for medications that need it. We refuse delivery windows we can't guarantee.
  • Unmarked packagingNo outer branding, no contents on the label. Tracked by a Canadian courier with signature options.
  • Pharmacist on callWeekday or weekend — usually a same-day reply, often within the hour.

For the record

Five things we won't do.

Many telehealth companies grow by softening these lines. We've drawn them in the same place since we started, even when it cost us. Here is what we will not do, plainly.

i

We won't write a prescription without a real clinical review.

Every prescription is signed by a licensed Canadian physician after reading your full intake. Software triages — clinicians decide.

ii

We won't import from unregulated international sources.

Every medication on Wexi is licensed for use in Canada, sourced through authorized distributors, and dispensed by a Canadian pharmacist.

iii

We won't auto-refill without check-ins.

Long-term medications get scheduled clinical reviews. If we haven't heard from you, the refill pauses — not the other way around.

iv

We won't upsell what you didn't ask for.

No bundled supplements, no membership lock-ins, no “add this to your plan” nudges at checkout. You came for a prescription. That's the thing we sell.

v

We won't treat outside our scope.

If your situation needs in-person care, urgent psychiatry, or a specialist we don't carry, we'll say so — and we'll help route you to the right place.

Where we serve

Canada, province by province.

Wexi dispenses to nine provinces and three territories. Eligibility, dispensing windows and a handful of medications vary by jurisdiction — your clinician will tell you what's available in your postal code before you commit to anything.
